TIGER International Hackathon: Develop Innovative Solutions for Current eHealth Challenges

The TIGER International Hackathon brings together the innovation ecosystem to address healthcare data management for active aging. This flagship event creates an inclusive space where SMEs, start-ups, and young entrepreneurs collaborate with experts to transform complex healthcare challenges into concrete business solutions.

Registration and Selection Process

SMEs interested in participating must apply online through TIGER’s platform on a first-come, first-served basis. With only 30-36 participants accepted, companies should register quickly to secure their place in this competitive event. The hackathon targets innovative healthcare companies ready to tackle fragmented data challenges in the active aging sector.

Strategic Location Benefits

Selected companies travel to Milan’s G-Gravity Incubator, located in Northern Italy’s economic development center. This unique venue combines market access, acceleration expertise, and direct connections to funding opportunities and value chains. Milan’s excellent European transport links make it easily accessible from France, Germany, Austria, and other key markets.

Team Formation and Expert Support

Participants join multidisciplinary teams of up to five members, including representatives from other SMEs, young entrepreneurs, and expert mentors assigned by the organization. This collaborative approach ensures companies benefit from diverse perspectives and professional guidance throughout the development process.

Intensive Development Process

The hackathon follows a proven 30-hour format over two days. Companies participate in specialized training sessions on healthcare data interoperability and active aging ecosystems before diving into intensive prototype development. Teams work around the clock with mentor support to transform ideas from concept to pitch-ready solutions.

Validation and Growth Opportunities

Each team presents their solution in a five-minute pitch to a panel of experts and institutional representatives. Winners receive tools and vouchers to further develop and implement their ideas, plus valuable access to potential investors and business angels attending the event.
